Attack of the Graske continues David Tennant’s unconventional start to his Doctor Who run: a charity mini-episode, a Christmas special and this — an interactive adventure that viewers played along with using their TV remote.
“Oh! Love a duck!”
Young Woman, Attack of the Graske
Originally available on BBCi on Christmas Day 2005, you’re tasked with helping the Doctor — who’s dropped off Rose at Wembley in 1979 to watch ABBA — in preventing the Graske from their dastardly but slightly impractical plot to replace everybody with clones.
There was the potential for it all to feel a little uninvolving but, as did Anthony Ainley with the live action elements of Destiny of the Doctors, David Tennant really sells it and you can’t help be swept along with his enthusiasm!
As such, Attack of the Graske is a jolly good way to spend 15 minutes after you’d finished off the Christmas pud (and watched The Christmas Invasion, of course).
